“Tonight we are honoring two outstanding individuals,” said Bruce Banco, Pacificans Care co-president with Ginny Jaquith, as he welcomed everyone. Both honorees received commemorative plaques from the Pacificans Care board of directors and certificates of appreciation from Assemblyman Kevin Mullin. A reception followed the presentations. Pacificans Care was founded in 1982 to generate community support for social and safety net services for those in need in Pacifica. The nonprofit annually supports the Pacifica Resource Center, Pacifica Youth Service Bureau, Pacifica Senior Services, and Pacifica Child Care. Through it efforts, more than $715,000 has been returned to the community since 1982 to support the work of these core social service agencies in providing critical services to the community.
