Spending his college years in Los Angeles, Andrew was a featured soloist with the Chaffey College Jazz Ensemble, and earned outstanding musicianship awards from the National Association of Jazz Educators. He later attended the Guitar Institute of Technology. Graduating at the top of his class, he joined the faculty.
